8848 Coins is a web-based mining platform built around the 8848X coin. It lets anyone accumulate 8848X by running timed mining sessions in the browser — no mining rig, no specialist hardware, and no technical setup. This white paper describes the coin, the mining model, the account system, and the platform's value reference.

Our goal is to make coin mining approachable for everyday people. Traditional mining demands equipment, energy, and know-how; 8848 Coins reduces that to a single action — start a session and let it run — so newcomers can take part in a digital asset without a barrier to entry.

A mining session runs for a fixed 24-hour cycle. Once started, the session progresses in real time and the balance you see on the dashboard grows continuously, so earnings are visible minute by minute rather than arriving as a single end-of-cycle update. When the cycle completes, 2.4 8848X is credited to your account and a new session can be started.

8848X is the unit of account on the platform. Balances are held in 8848X and shown to eight decimal places, so progress during a live session is reflected precisely. The coin name references 8848 metres — the height of Mount Everest — reflecting the project's long-horizon, summit-oriented outlook.

1 8848X is referenced against the value of 1,000 grams of gold. The reference value is derived from the prevailing gold price and displayed in US dollars on the dashboard, together with the date of the last price update. This reference is informational: it expresses what 1 8848X represents in the project's model and is not a guarantee of liquidity, redemption, or market price.

Completed mining balances can be withdrawn once the minimum withdrawal threshold of 75 8848X is reached. The threshold keeps settlement efficient and is shown directly on the dashboard alongside your available balance.

Every account is protected by the platform's authentication layer, including verified email sign-in and password recovery. Account data is held in a managed database, and access to it is restricted to the account owner. You can update your profile at any time, and you can permanently delete your account and its data from the profile screen.

Planned work focuses on expanding the mining experience, refining the value reference display, and broadening payment and withdrawal options region by region. Release notes are reflected in the app's version number.
